1st year Interior Design student wins TAFE NSW rug design competition!
Samuel Thorburn, a 1st year Advanced Diploma of Interior Design student at TAFE NSW – South Western Sydney Institute - Lidcombe College, has won ‘Floored 2011’, a major industry rug design competition run in partnership with TAFE NSW and Designer Rugs Australia. Read more »

SWSi trains top two apprentices in NSW
Butchery apprentice, Brendon Hillsley, from TAFE NSW – South Western Sydney Institute’s (SWSi) Granville College has been named the NSW Apprentice of the Year at the NSW Training Awards held in Sydney this month. Read more »

SWSi Aboriginal student grads aim to join NSW Police
Six Aboriginal men and women have been studying a special course at TAFE NSW - South Western Sydney Institute’s Macquarie Fields College to help them gain entry to the NSW Police College at Goulburn. The course known as the Indigenous Police Recruitment Our Way Delivery (IPROWD) has been running for the last 18 weeks and the six students graduated at a ceremony held at Campbelltown College.
