VET FEE-HELP
If you are concerned about the cost of studying with SWSi you should be aware that some SWSi courses offer VET FEE-HELP allowing eligible students to study now and pay later.
What is VET FEE-HELP?
VET FEE-HELP is a student loan program administered by the Commonwealth Government for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. VET FEE-HELP loans allow eligible, full-fee paying students to study now and pay later by letting them defer all or part of their course fees for selected courses above diploma level.
Who is eligible for VET FEE-HELP?
You may be eligible for VET FEE-HELP if you:
• are an Australian citizen or permanent humanitarian visa holder (resident in Australia for the duration of the unit);
AND
• are a full fee-paying / fee for service student studying a VET FEE-HELP approved diploma, advanced diploma,
graduate certificate or graduate diploma level course; AND
• have not exceeded the FEE-HELP limit.
To find out if you might be eligible for VET FEE-HELP check the VET FEE-HELP FAQ’s.
How do I apply for VET FEE-HELP?
To apply for VET FEE-HELP you need to have a tax file number (TFN) and submit a Request for VET FEE-HELP assistance form (available from your local TAFE College) or apply online using the online enrolment process for the selected VET FEE-HELP Course. Before you sign and submit your VET FEE-HELP application form you must read the VET FEE-HELP information for 2013 booklet.
How do I pay for VET FEE-HELP?
You repay your VET FEE-HELP debt through the Australian tax system once you reach the minimum income threshold (see the VET FEE-HELP Loan Repayment for details of repayment thresholds).
