Padstow College was opened in 1981 in landcaped surroundings formerly occupied by market gardens.
We are one of nine South Western Sydney Institute colleges that provide high quality vocational education and training opportunities in the region, and we have built sold relationships with local industry and community organisations.
Conveniently located only a 10 minute walk from suburban rail system and less than a five minute drive from the M5 motorway, the college provides vocational training in the areas of ABE, Aeroskills, Automotive, Business Studies, ESOL, Floristry, General Education, Horticulture, Hospitality, Information Technology and Outreach.
The college is a metropolitan Centre of Excellence for Horticulture, encompassing arboriculture, bush regeneration, conservation land management, floristry, landscaping, parks and nursery courses.
We have an award-winning floristry section that competes in national competitions and a Floristry Shop open to the public. The horticulture section regularly hosts a Plant Sale for students, staff and locals to purchase from.
We are also a state centre of excellence for aircraft maintenance training. The Padstow College Aeroskills Centre is one of Australia's largest trainer of non-military aircraft maintenance engineers in Australia.
We also have outstanding facilities for Tourism and Hospitality, including an operational training restaurant, Restaurant Padstow, which is open to the public for lunch and dinner, and is very popular in the region.
