VET FEE-HELP
VET FEE-HELP is a student loan program administered by the Commonwealth Government for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. It is part of the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP).
The scheme assists eligible, full-fee paying students to defer all or part of the course fees for selected SWSi courses (above Diploma level) approved for VET FEE-HELP.
It does not cover accommodation and general living expenses.
Eligible students enrolled in an eligible VET accredited course can pay their VET tuition fees by either:
- paying some or all of their tuition fees up-front; and/or
- submitting a Request for VET FEE-HELP assistance form (on or before the census date of the first unit(s) for which they want to access VET FEE-HELP assistance) to obtain a loan for some or all of their tuition fees through VET FEE-HELP. The Australian Government will pay the amount of the loan to the provider on the student’s behalf.
You then repay your debt through the Australian tax system once you reach the minimum income threshold.
