E-learning offers new ways to access learning materials and to communicate with your classmates and your teacher.
It takes learning out of the classroom and into your home or workplace. It may involve the Internet, CD-ROMs or DVDs, or portable devices like PDAs, i-Pods or mobile phones.

Support for e-learning
When you undertake flexible elearning at South Western Sydney Institute you will always be supported by your teachers. They will be in contact with you via online discussion forums, email or phone calls. If you agree, you will also have the support of your fellow learners in the same way your teacher communicates with you.
If you are using the college library computers to access your online learning you will have the support of the library staff if you get into difficulties. While they are not there to teach you they can help with minor computer problems, and access.
Learning online often means you will be doing more research and independent learning and our experienced and friendly library staff can assist you with your research, internet searching and accessing other library resources as required to support your learning.
