TVET is TAFE-delivered Vocational Education and Training for Year 11 and 12 students who want to include a TAFE NSW course as part of their HSC.

When you study through TVET you can gain:
- Units of credit for your preliminary and/or higher school certificate
- An academic transcript from TAFE NSW
- A statement of competencies achieved
- A Statement of Attainment, Certificate I or Certificate II
- A nationally recognised qualification
If you study an industry curriculum framework course for two years, you can choose to take the optional HSC examination and have it counted towards the calculation of your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

- Receive Board of Studies credentials that count towards your year 11 and 12 HSC units
- If you are from a government high school, your TVET courses are FREE! If you attend a non-government high school, you may be eligible for a subsidised place (further information is available from your school)
- All equipment, materials, protective clothing and texts are provided by TAFE NSW at no cost to students
- Receive training from TAFE NSW teachers who are qualified, highly skilled, industry trained and dedicated to helping you on your pathway to an exciting career.
- Gain access to TAFE NSW workshops and facilities that are well equipped and meet industry-training standards. These are the same facilities that are accessed by trade and post-trade students.
- Receive assistance from Disability Consultants and access all TAFE NSW services.
